According to ISCO:

"What, Pray Tell, is a Pizza Strip? (If You’re Not from Rhode Island): Pizza strips, also known as party pizzas, red strips or bakery pizza, are not actually pizza in the traditional sense of the word," writes ISCO. "They’re a Rhode Island specialty: rectangular strips of a focaccia dough covered in dense, rich tomato sauce (and sometimes dusted with grated Romano cheese)."

ISCO continues:

Pizza strips, like revenge, are a dish best (or at least traditionally) served cold, and their fan base range has never extended far beyond our Ocean State borders...perhaps till now! A nod to Rhode Island’s vibrant Italian American history, the pizza strip is a celebration of sauce, and at ISCO we’re nothing if not saucy. So grab yourself a Li’l Rhody Pizza Strip, because life’s too short to keep your cheese on!

According to ISCO, the drink will be an "organic wheat base, pizza strips, spices" and 40% alcohol by volume.

ISCO provides the additional information.

Tasting Notes:  Opens with a herbaceous bouquet of oregano and marjoram, layered over a subtle yet tangy waft of tomato paste, followed by flavors of bright garlic and rich tomato. Notes of of fresh bread and savory Italian herbs coax your palate towards a comforting and lightly herbal lingering finish.

Cocktails: Try Pizza Strip in a classic martini (garnish with a pineapple or a pepperoni or pepperoncini!). Also killer in a Bloody Mary. Find more recipes here!

Production Method: To create Li’l Rhody Pizza Strip, we begin with a wheat base and the finest tomato sauce, heavy on the thyme, rosemary and basil, to which we added specially crafted Pizza Strips from beloved local pizza joint Pizza J. Then we distill the whole shebang so you’ve got the pizza strip…without the pizza strip. Yes kids, distillation IS magic! (okay, it’s completely science. but we think science can be pretty magical when it tastes this good!)
