Panera Bread Teams With Gloria Gemma Foundation for Their Pink Ribbon Bagel Promotion

Panera Bread's Pink Ribbon Bagel
Panera Bread is partnering with the Gloria Gemma Beast Cancer Resource Foundation during its 15th annual 'Pink Ribbon Bagel' promotion. Throughout the month of October, a percentage of proceeds from all Pink Ribbon Bagels sold to Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts will go to the foundation.

“We are truly blessed to have this great and longstanding partnership with Panera Bread. Their continued support helps us provide free programs and services to people touched by breast cancer,” said Maria Corcelli, Executive Director, Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.

During the fundraiser, 25 cents from every Pink Ribbon Bagel bought at select Panera Bread cafes in Rhode Island and Massachusetts will go directly to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.

Sue Stees, one of Panera Bread’s first franchisees and a breast cancer survivor, developed the idea for the Pink Ribbon Bagel in 2001 as a way to help support the cause.

This is the fourth consecutive year that proceeds have benefited the Gloria Gemma Foundation.

Pink Ribbon Bagels feature dried cherries, cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar.

Participating Locations

Participating Rhode Island and Massachusetts locations for the Gemma Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign are located in Cranston, East Greenwich, Lincoln, Newport, Providence, Smithfield, Wakefield, Warwick, RI and North Attleborough, Plainville and Seekonk, MA.

These locations are among the 28 bakery-cafes owned and operated by leading franchisee, Howley Bread Group, LTD, based in Lincoln, RI. Additional beneficiaries of the Pink Bagel promotion include the Connecticut Sports Foundation.
