Diversity – The more diverse the population of a city is the more diverse, and authentic, its food is likely to be.
Farmer’s markets – Great food needs great ingredients. If a city has thriving farmer’s markets then its chefs can create fresh and flavorful dishes.
Restaurants – Quality may be more important than quantity, but the more restaurants a city has the more variety it offers.
Food trucks – These eateries on wheels are fun, adventurous, and often at the cutting edge of new flavors so cities with more of these trucks get more points.
Fast food places – GogoBot is looking for unique eating opportunities so we subtracted points from the cities that had the most fast food places.

(Bonus) Gogobot user ranking – Because their users have impeccable taste we gave bonus points to the cities that received high user rankings. Top points went to cities with a rating higher than 4.5 while those with a rating between 4.0 and 4.49 received half of the bonus.
