Americans can once again request free at-home COVID-19 tests beginning Monday. The federal government is offering the kits by mail or they can be picked up at thousands of locations. They will be available at COVIDtests.gov and limited to four per household. The program has been paused since June to conserve supply.

The program starts September 25.

Here is what the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced:

The COVIDtests.gov program has distributed over 755 million tests directly to more than two-thirds of American households, 310 million of which went to households in underserved communities. The U.S. government will continue to make COVID-19 tests available to uninsured individuals and underserved communities through existing outreach programs.
