Biden Tests Positive Again for COVID — "Rebound" Case Forces Isolation

Mayo Clinic researchers reported in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases that less than 1% of patients at high risk for experiencing severe COVID who were treated with Paxlovid experienced a second bout.
According to the White House, Biden has experienced "no reemergence of symptoms, and continues to feel quite well" and will, as a result, not resume treatment, the White House said.

Biden will now be forced to isolate again and has canceled trips to Delaware and Michigan.
In Rhode Island, the transmission rate is at 151 per 100,000 over a seven-day period. As of Friday, 61 are reported hospitalized with COVID. And, since the pandemic began, 3,630 Rhode Islanders have died of the virus.
