Hospital Association of RI Announces "Hospital Hero" Awards

The Hospital Association of Rhode Island (HARI) has announced its “Hospital Hero: Award for Excellence in Hospital Care.”

The awards were presented at HARI’s annual event at the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center.

Nine employees from HARI’s member hospitals were recognized by the HARI Board of Trustees for exemplary performance and dedication to healthcare.

The recipients are:

  • Melissa Burt, Nurse Manger, Butler Hospital (Resident of Smithfield)
  • Christine Kettelle, Behavioral Specialist, Eleanor Slater Hospital (Resident of East Greenwich)
  • Janice Colvin, Registered Nurse, Kent Hospital (Resident of Warwick)
  • Nicole Allard, Certified Nursing Assistant, Landmark Medical Center (Resident of Woonsocket)
  • Amy Figueira, Registered Nurse, Providence VA Medical Center (Resident of Seekonk, MA)
  • Nanette Doan, ED Clinical Leader, South County Health (Resident of North Kingstown)
  • Thomas Hoy, ED Clinical Leader, South County Health (Resident of West Warwick)
  • Stephen McCarthy, Public Safety Supervisor, Westerly Hospital (Resident of Westerly)
