Raimondo Signs Legislation Requiring Carbon Monoxide Detectors in Schools

Carbon monoxide detectors will now be required in schools
Governor Gina Raimondo has signed legislation that requires schools to install carbon monoxide detectors.

The bill was introduced by Representative Joseph McNamara and Senator Joshua Miller.

“The fact that the school administration building has carbon monoxide detectors, but the schools that are filled with children do not is appalling to me,” said Pauline Belal, who testified in favor of the bill at a meeting of the House Health, Education and Welfare Committee.
