Award Winning Improv Comedy with The Bit Players
Get over to Firehouse Theater at 4 Equality Park Place in Newport to watch the award winning improv comedy of The Bit Players.
The show begins at 8 p.m. and is BYOB.

Ice Skating at Newport Skating Center
Grab your ice skates and head out and enjoy the winter weather skating at the Newport Skating Center.
The center will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday.

Bob Marley Tribute Band at Newport Grand
The Bob Marley tribute band Jammin will perform at the Newport Grand Event Center on Saturday Night. The concert is FREE.

The Current - Witness Discussion
The Bay Spring Community Centers original spoken word program, The Currents, kicks off 2016 with our annual Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend event on January 16 at 7PM. Five speakers, including PJ Fox of the Institute for the Study and Practice of Non-Violence, will share their thoughts on the topic of Witness and engage in spirited discussions with audience members. The Currents offers ideas that sweep you away.

Nina A. Baugh: In Search of a Studio of Her Own Exhibit Opening
Baugh created artwork between the ages of 13 and 25, when she married. Pieces from the Nina A. Baugh collection, complemented by art treasures from the Jamestown Historical Society, provide us a rare glimpse into the into daily life on Conanicut Island in the 1920s and 1930s.
Exhibit opens on Saturday, January 16, 6 8pm. Gallery hours through March 5.

Newport Seal Tour
Go for a one or two hour tour through Newport Harbor and view 360 seals on Citing Rock off of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge.
A one-hour tour costs $22 for non members while a two hour tour costs $42 for non members.

Poetry in Art Exhibit at Spring Bull Gallery
Odes in oils, poems in pastels, Wordsworth in watercolors what more can you ask for on a cold January day than to enjoy some art inspired by the written word.

In Your Wildest Dreams
Artistic Director, Daniel P. Ryan begins his tenure with a musical journey that will take the audience from lullabies to sleep, into a dreamlike state, even touching the edge of nightmares before ending on a theme of morning awakening. The repertoire will span centuries, from the very early renaissance straight through to the present day with the world premiere of Dust by Kevin Joest.

Bundle up and join Save The Bay and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island for a Winter Birding Cruise. Departing from Newport, we will explore the coves, islands and points along the shores of Aquidneck, Conanicut and Prudence Islands looking for Harlequin, Goldeneyes, Long-tailed Ducks, Scoters and more. Winter seals may be spotted, as well! Save The Bay and Audubon educators will provide expert guidance. These 2-hour trips! Book now, as space is limited.
