The Changing of the Leaves

One of the cool things about the fall season is the leaves on the trees and the colors that they change too.

According to smokeymountain.com, prime foliage season in New England is late September into early October.

Look forward to an enjoyable walk around the neighborhood and see how many different colors you can pick out, or just enjoy the beauty.

Pumpkin Picking

The fall season signifies the return of pumpkins. Pumpkin beer, pumpkin pie and most of all pumpkin picking.

Pumpkin picking is a timeless event for families, especially those with young kids who will love to just run around and grab whichever pumpkin looks good to them.

Death Cab for Cutie in New Hampshire

Death Cab for Cutie is coming to the Verizon Wireless Center in New Hampshire on September 10th.

Death Cab for Cutie was formed in 1997 and since then they have released eight albums, thier most recent coming in March of 2015.

Thier hits include "A Movie Script Ending," a song featured on the TV show "The O.C.," "Soul Meets Body" and "Crooked Teeth."

For Death Cab for Cutie fans and music lovers alike, this concert will be worth the trip and a reason to look forward to fall.

2015 Harvest Festival

The 6th Annual Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17 behind Bass Pro Shop at Patriot Place. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Festival is FREE.

The festival is great for families as it will include pumpkin painting, hayrides, live music an a lot more.

West Boylston Fall Festival

The West Boylston Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at West Boylston Town Common.

The event is FREE.

The festival will include a scarecrow contest, a pie eating contest and musical performances the Acoustic Guitar Orchestra, The Office Party Band and Lolli & The Boston Hoop Troop.

Sam Adams Octoberfest Beer

One of the fun things about the changing of seasons is the changing of beer flavors and with fall comes Sam Adams Octoberfest.

The Oktoberfest idea was born in 1810 when Munich celebrated the Crown Prince's wedding with a 16 day party with a special beer.

Sam Adams builds off of that idea with a beer that is perfect for the season.

Phantom Gourmet Food Festival

The phantom Gourmet Food Festival is an event to look forward too and it will be held on September 19th from 12- 4 p.m. on two streets next to Fenway Park.

Tickets are $40 in advance and online and will go up to $50 at the event.

The ticket includes sampling 100 of Phantom's foods from hot dogs and pizza to pulled pork and more. Beer and wine will be served on the street.

The New England Patriots Return

The NFL returns and that means the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots return as well.

Tom Brady's suspension has been overturned and he will be under center when the Patriots host the Steelers in the NFL season opener on Thursday, September 10th.

Apple Picking

A great fall family event, especially those with young kids, is apple picking.

Nothing more fun then grabbing the nicest looking apple that you can find, giving it a quick wash off and than biting into it. Delicious.

Farm Fresh Rhode Island and Phantom Farm are two great places to go and pick yourself some apples in Rhode Island.

Newport Vinyards 20th Anniversary Bash

The fall is a great time for wine drinkers and it is made even better with Newport Vinyards celebrating thier 20th Anniversary with a big party on September 27th at 2 p.m.

Columbus Day Festival on Federal Hill

Filled with great music and even better food, the Columbus Day Festival is a fall event to look forward to every season.

The feast will take place on October 10th-12th and the parade will take place on Sunday, October 11th at 11 a.m.

Total Lunar Eclipse, September 27-28

There will be a total lunar eclipse during the last week of September. The eclipse will take place starting at 10:11 p.m. and will last until 11:23 p.m., a duration of one hour and 12 minutes.

This will be the last lunar eclipse in southern New England until January 21, 2019. 

Therefore, you do not want to miss this one!

Great Golf Weather Remaining

The end of Summer does not mean the end of golf season.

The fall is a great time of year for golfing and the weather is a lot of times is just right. Not to hot and not to cold.

The music will continue to go strong every Saturday at Greenvale Vinyards, almost like the seasons never changed.

Harpoon Brewery Octoberfest in Boston

Harpoon Brewery will hold thier 26th annual Octoberfest on Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd from 1-7 p.m.

The event will feature Harpoon brews, bratwursts, chicken dancing and German chocolae cake eating contests as well as Oompah music.

The first annual Ocean State Beer Festival will be held on Sunday, September 20 from 1-4 p.m. at Grey Sail of Brewing of Rhode Island, located at 63 Canal Street in Westerly, Rhode Island.

Oktoberfest on the Providence Waterfront

The 23rd annual International Oktoberfest is set to take place on October 17th and 18 on the Providence Waterfront at India Point Park.

Saturday's times are 12-8 p.m. and Sunday's times are 12-6 p.m.
