According to the folks at RI Rocks, Aerosmith opened for The Kinks at Palace Concert Theater (today that venue is known as PPAC).

Interestingly, just a few months later in October of 1973, Aerosmith was back in Providence again opening, but this time for Mott the Hoople.

They played the Palace three times in 1974 — each time they were the headliner.

2) Opened for Sha Na Na

In July of 1974 Aerosmith played in Escoheag, RI at Stepping Stone Ranch, but they weren’t the headliner. Aerosmith was on schedule with Refugee, Wendy Waldman and Maha Vishnu Orchestra. But, it was the 1950’s-style greaser group She Na Na that got top billing.

3) Steven Tyler & Aerosmith Have Played Providence Civic Center How Many Times

From May 3 1975 to November 14, 2005 the band played the Civic Center (not the Dunk) 19 times.
