Jackson Browne to Play PPAC on August 20th

Singer-Songwriter Jackson Browne will visit the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Wednesday, August 20th at 7:30 PM. Playing guitar and piano, Browne will perform songs from his entire body of work.

Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007. Beyond his music, he is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights, and arts education. He's a co-founder of the groups Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) and Nukefree.org .

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Late For The Sky, originally released in September 1974, the album has been re-mastered and will be released later this year on 180gram vinyl (standard 33 1/3 RPM), all digital platforms, and on CD in a new eco-digipak in a partnership between Rhino Records and Inside Recordings. Also, this fall, Jackson will release a new studio album, the thirteenth of his career.

Tickets range from $35 to $99; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge and are subject to change without notice.
