Festival Ballet's Derrick Jerrell Davis Memorial Scholarship to Support Young Dancers of Color

This new program, named the Derrick Jerrell Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund, will fund tuition assistance for promising dance students of color with a mission to expand diversity within the classical and modern dance community.
Davis, who taught at Festival Ballet from 2014-2015 and worked as a freelance dancer, choreographer, and teacher, was a "bright light of sunshine," according to Festival Ballet.

"The establishment of the Derrick J. Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund at Festival Ballet Providence, we believe is a very appropriate way to achieve that goal.”
Seeking Applicants -- and Donors
The Scholarship Fund will offer grants to applicants on a cycle to be announced in late summer 2021.
Festival Ballet is also seeking donations for the scholarship fund.
