“Focus On Public Art” To Showcase Nine RI Artists At Wheeler School

This work, by Rhode Island artist Nicole Chesney, is featured in the Wheeler School exhibition.
A public arts initiative will be celebrated on Thursday, January 22 at The Wheeler School in Providence.

The free event will feature nine Rhode Island artists with national and international reputations. The artists will discuss their works, which were commissioned by
longtime Rhode Island arts patron, Dr. Joseph Chazan, who is celebrating his 80th birthday this year.

“A Focus On Public Art: The Wheeler School Initiative” will feature videos and conversation with these nine artists, each of whom has installed a large-scale work on public display at the Wheeler Providence campus or its companion Farm campus in Seekonk, MA.
