RI Design Hall of Fame Calling for Nominations
The RI Design Hall of Fame acknowledges proven leaders in the Rhode Island design community, and up to five individuals will be inducted in two categories: Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Designers.
The nominations themselves are due by 5 PM on August 7, while completed applications are due by August 14 at 5 PM. Further details about both nominations and applications can be found here.

The Lifetime Achievement award will honor individuals who have made a significant contribution to the design industry, other industry sectors, and the community. Meanwhile, the Emerging Designers award will recognize individuals who are impacting the field of design through their work and consistently trying to improve the community.
The submission criteria is the same for both Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Designer categories. Applicants must be individual design professionals primarily living and working in Rhode Island. Applicants must have made significant and noteworthy contributions through their design practice and be able to demonstrate the impact of their design to clients, industry (design or other), environments (economic, social, literal), and/or locations (place, city, state, country, world). Special consideration will be given to applicants who have proven to be advocates for design and raising awareness of the impact of the design industry; acted as mentors to younger members of the design community; and/or made a significant contribution through their design to Rhode Island.
If chosen, inductees will be contacted by September 1 and honored during the DESIGNxRI Hall of Fame Award party during 2015 Design Week, which takes place September 16-27. Details about the party will be announced in the coming weeks.
