Two years after graduating from RISD, Amy Devers [MFA 01 FD] stumbled into her first TV role hosting a DIY home-improvement series. Eleven years later, the Emmy-nominated television personality has more than 10 TV and web series under her belt, ranging from hands-on how-to shows to programs discussing international high design, on networks such as A&E, TLC, Ovation, DIY, OWN and PBS.

Fun for browsing and guaranteed to please the senses, this perennial favorite features a wide range of great finds in fine art, design and giftware by more than 200 alumni and students. And if the weather doesn’t cooperate, no worries—a tent will protect you from the elements.
Public Art Project | Laid in Rhode Island
Saturday 10/11 10am–4pm | RISD Beach (Benefit Street between Waterman + Angell streets)
This installation and egg painting workshop highlights birds that nest in Rhode Island. Participants will learn about local nesting birds and create their own egg specimen of one of the Ocean State’s favorite backyard birds, the Cedar Waxwing. Jane Kim 03 PR leads the project. Her studio Ink Dwell is dedicated to inspiring people to love and protect the earth one work of art at a time.
