Actor Danny DeVito has a new reason to love Rhode Island.

Now serving as a spokesperson for Jersey Mike’s, DeVito was recently gifted local designer Kent Stetson’s handbag created for the sandwich chain.

“Can I eat this?” DeVito jokes in the video shared by Stetson, opening the paper wrapper containing the item.

When he takes a look inside, in the comedic timing that he’s known for, DeVito makes those around him laugh.

“Gabagool!” he exclaims, referring to the Italian pronunciation of the cold cut Capocollo, or Capicola.

GoLocal recently wrote about how Stetson came to team up with Jersey Mike’s — and has other big-name food partnerships in the works.

“Very nice…they will love these,” said DeVito of probably planning on gifting them to the bag-wearers in his life.

Clearly, DeVito thinks Stetson's creation is a “bag above” the rest.
