Water Ways Exhibit Now Open at Providence Children's Museum
Photo: Providence Children's MuseumThe popular "Water Ways" exhibit at the Providence Children's Museum has been transformed into a new and imaginative waterplay exhibit.
The exhibit opened this past weekend, and will allow children of all ages to immerse themselves in the interactive exhibit which will allow them to:
-transform the size and shape of billowing mist and water domes by controlling water valves
The waterplay in the exhibit invites children to problem solve, get creative, and challenge them to question their sensory surroundings.
A series of programs exploring water will follow the exhibit and take place on weekends in November and December for families to enjoy designing and racing paddle boats, ice sculpting, and creating water art.

In addition to the 574 original works of art, the museum also includes the Norman Rockwell Archives.
These archives are a collection of over 100,000 various items, which include photographs, fan mail, and various business documents.
The town of Stockbridge, Massachusetts greatly influenced Rockwell's art.
Rockwell spent the last twenty-five years of his life in Stockbridge and many of the residents and locales of the small town were woven into his paintings depicting rural American life.
Due to this museum’s close relationship to the Rhode Island School of Design, its galleries and collections will be sure to educate and inspire students, designers, artists and the general public.
