Biden Flies to RI Today on Way to Give Keynote Address at Coast Guard Academy Commencement

President Joe Biden is scheduled to touch down in Rhode Island at Quonset State Airport at about 9:40 a.m and then travel to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. 

The ceremony marks the school's 140th graduation and Biden's second keynote address at the Academy as he spoke at the event in 2013 as Vice President.

Biden's "Rhode Island visit" has no ceremony or official activities.

Over the years as a presidential candidate, Biden has been to numerous times. the most recent was a fall of 2019 fundraiser on the East Side of Providence. 

Vice President Kamala Harris will give the commencement address at the U.S. Naval Academy on May 28, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley will deliver the keynote speech at the U.S. Air Force Academy's graduation ceremony on May 26.

The U.S. Military Academy West Point's speaker is Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III -- graduation is on May 22.
