Black Lives Matter RI PAC Adds Two New Executive Board Members

Allen began his career as the Community Relations Coordinator for Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza and later served as Director of Policy & Partnerships. His portfolio included leading, implementing, and coordinating policy initiatives where he collaborated with the city’s COVID-19 recovery office to implement the City of Providence’s COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Plan.
"LaJuan’s understanding of the internal workings of the largest municipality in the state, ability to work with multiple organizations, and passion for social justice will be an indescribable asset to the PAC," according to the group's statement.

"Through his hard work, he has gained the respect of many organizations in Rhode Island that align with the ideals of BLM RI PAC," according to the organization. "His experience as a campaign manager, fieldwork, voter outreach, and organizing is a huge asset for the PAC as we move forward into 2023."
"These two additions to our executive board share the change in BLM RI PAC’s push to make meaningful changes in our organization internally and continue our long standing fight for equity, equality, and racial justice in the state of Rhode Island," said the PAC.
