On Thursday afternoon, the January 6th Committee investigating the attack on the Capitol voted to subpoena former President Donald Trump.

The Committee is compelling the former President's testimony and to produce documents relating to the events on January 6.

The unanimous vote marked a dramatic conclusion to Thursday's wide-ranging look at Trump’s efforts to reverse the 2020 election results in what could be the panel's final public hearing before the midterm elections.

The committee said Trump planned to declare victory no matter what the result was, and then used claims of election fraud to rally supporters to Washington.
