UPDATE:
A 48-year-old woman was shot and killed at approximately 3:00 PM by her estranged husband according to Providence Deputy Chief Thomas Verdi.
The events took place on Charles Street near the DaVinci Center and Esek Hopkins School.
She died in the home of her relative and her estranged husband -- the shooter -- fled to a neighboring home and was surrounded by Providence Police Special Response Unit and took his own life.
All of the information was provided by Verdi.
He would not provide the names of the two who died.

The murder is the 10th of the year.
EARLIER REPORTS
Providence police are searching for a suspect in the murder of a woman on Charles Street in Providence on Saturday afternoon.
"We're still here -- [there is] one female dead," said Providence Police Major David Lapatin at 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, who said officers were responding to the 400 block of Charles Street in Providence.
"The suspect may be in a house in on Charles -- it occurred about an hour ago," said Lapatin.
