“There were several shots fired in and out of Flow,” Providence Police Major David Lapatin told GoLocalProv.com. “A person was seriously injured and taken to Rhode Island Hospital."

“Cranston Police apprehended a vehicle that we put out there — that was around 12:30 a.m.,” said Lapatin. “In it was a shooter — not the suspect that shot the victim, but another shooter.”

Lapatin confirmed the victim was shot inside the club.

An emergency show cause hearing for Flow has been scheduled at the previously scheduled Board of Licenses hearing at 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Second Shooting

“As far as Eddy Street this morning, the victim was sitting in a car, and someone came upon him and fired several shots,” said Lapatin. “The victim was [dead on arrival] at the hospital.”

Lapatin said Providence police did not have a weapon — or suspect — at this time.
