Congressman Langevin Accepting Applications for U.S. Military Academies

Congressman Langevin accepting applications for U.S. Military Academies
Congressman Jim Langevin is accepting applications for nomination to the United States Military Academies. Applications for matriculation in July of 2017 are due by October 28, 2016. 

Applications can be downloaded from Congressman Langevin’s website, and must be accompanied by three letters of recommendation.

“Nominating talented, hardworking, and patriotic young people to our distinguished military academies is one of my greatest privileges, and I continue to be so impressed, year after year, by the caliber of students setting forth on the path to serve and protect our nation. As a senior member of both the House Armed Services and Homeland Security Committees, I understand the importance of a highly-trained, capable military, and I’m proud to do my part to identify and support qualified young people who will make up the next generation of our national defense,” said Congressman Langevin.

Applicants must live in the Second Congressional District and be between the ages of 17 and 23. 

Applications will be reviewed and interviews will be conducted by Congressman Langevin and a panel of community and military leaders.
