The House passed a resolution introduced by Representative Ackerman to honor Sgt. Walter Ptaszek, Officer Chris Hannon and Officer Mathew Paradis, who rushed into a burning building that housed the Albion Post Office, Food mart and Social Club to rescue a sleeping elderly couple and others.

“I am proud to honor these officers who rushed in to save lives with no thought to their personal safety. Their heroism, along with the actions of the Albion Fire Department is an inspiration. It’s important to recognize their actions and presence of mind — and for them to know how much we appreciate it,” said Representative Ackerman.
