Providence Man Spits Blood on a Police Officer After Fight Outside of the White Eagle Bar

The men were arrested following following a fist fight outside the bar on 120 Green Street in Worcester.
Jason Rumrill, 38, of Worcester was charged with assault and battery, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace.

While waiting for the patrol van to take the men to police headquarters Lloyd attempted to spit at Rumrill. Lloyd had a bloody mouth and was spitting blood.
He ended up spitting blood on the police officer holding onto Rumrill.
The Incident Report
On Sunday, November 6, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Worcester Police responded to the White Eagle Bar located at 120 Green Street for a report of a fight. Upon the officers arrival they observed two men fighting outside the club with a large crowd gathering to watch.
Responding officers estimate that 20 to 30 people were watching the fight, all yelling and screaming. The two men fighting were both actively punching each other when police got there. The fighters were identified as Rumrill and Lloyd.
Officers quickly separated the two men and placed them in handcuffs. While securing the men, one of the officers injured his knee when the suspect leaned into him. The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
