The Arrest

Alvarez-Gamez, 42, was arrested by members of the Rhode Island Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Task Force on February 26, 2019, moments after, for the second time in four hours, he sold an individual significant quantity of heroin.

According to information presented to the Court, both transactions occurred while Alvarez-Gomez was under surveillance by members of the DEA drug task force that were investigating his drug trafficking activities.

He was arrested after making the second delivery while inside a vehicle in the vicinity of his Providence residence.
