“Rabideau’s nomination satisfies the statutory requirement that the Governor nominates an individual selected from a list submitted by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives,” said McKee’s office in a statement.

Rabideau is a biologist and is nationally certified as a Senior Professional Wetland Scientist.

He was appointed Special Master by the Rhode Island Superior Court to resolve a decades-long dispute between the DEM and the Bowdish Lake Campground in Glocester.

He is currently the president and principal biologist at Natural Resource Services, Inc. in Harrisville.

He graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources. Previously, Rabideau served as a State Representative for District 60 (Burrillville) from 1995 to 2002 and was a member of the Rhode Island Judicial Nominating Commission from 2014 to 2020.
