NEW: Michelle Kwan's Stolen Car Found in North Providence

Clay Pell and wife Michelle Kwan
The stolen car of Michelle Kwan, wife of gubernatorial candidate Clay Pell, was found in North Providence Thursday night.

North Providence Police Captain James Broccoli confirmed the car had been located. "Someone reported a suspicious vehicle around 7:30 PM last night on Josephine Street. We dispatched officers to the scene and checked the plates to confirm it was the car in question. They ran the plates to confirm it was stolen, at which point we turned it over to the Providence Police Department," said Broccoli.

When asked if the missing Wayne Gretzky hockey stick, which was reported missing along with the car, was found, Broccoli said, "No comment."

Missing Car Controversy

After reporting that Kwan's car was missing following an event in Providence earlier in March, the Pell camp issued a statement regarding a prior incident in which the Pells reported their car missing back in December.

Following the report Kwan's car was missing, a Twitter account was created for "Michelle Kwan's Missing Car", with satirical Tweets as to where the car might be.
