Over 1,300 Marijuana Plants Seized in Pawtucket at Former Site of Gamm Theatre

Pawtucket Police on Thursday released more details regarding the investigation into a possibly illegal marijuana grow operation at the site of former Gamm Theatre in the city.

Pawtucket Police said that on Monday at 6:30 PM,  the Pawtucket Fire Department had been notified of a fire alarm at 172 Exchange Street -- the former Gamm Theatre building.  

After forcing entry to check the alarm they observed a large marijuana grow inside, and Pawtucket Police were called.

A court-ordered search warrant was executed on Tuesday by the Narcotics Unit, where over 1300 marijuana plants, 81lbs of usable marijuana, and numerous pieces of marijuana grow equipment were seized.  

There have been no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
