Protesters Project “Ceasefire Now” on Rhode Island State House Dome

The words “Ceasefire Now” were projected onto the Rhode Island State House dome.
The building is currently lit up in red and green for the Christmas holiday.

Local Activism
The Rhode Island Jewish Federation hosted a prayer vigil on October 9 to "pray for and honor the memory of the hundreds of innocent Israelis who have tragically been murdered and pray for peace and the safe return of those who have been kidnapped" by Hamas.
In November, students at Brown University called the U.S. and Israel “complicit in genocide in Gaza" during a protest on campus. Brown arrested students for trespassing -- then after involving the Providence Police, dropped the charges.
Two students at the Rhode Island School of Design were arrested for painting anti-Semitic graffiti on the Textron headquarters in downtown Providence. Textron is a supplier of military equipment to the Israel Defense Forces
On December 12, two students active in the Brown University Jewish community reported an anti-Semitic note being left in their apartment following a break-in.
Brown University refused to call it an anti-Semitic incident and referred to it instead as a “biased-related crime.”
