RI Reports 956 New Coronavirus Cases, 8 Additional Deaths -- Watch Raimondo LIVE at 1 PM

The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 956 new COVID-19 cases in the state on Tuesday, bringing the pandemic total over 81,000.

There were eight additional fatalities, with the total number of deaths now at 1,678.

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo and officials will be live at 1 PM on Tuesday for their weekly coronavirus press conference.

There are currently 440 hospitalizations, with 57 people in the ICU.

The state is now reporting vaccination numbers -- according to RIDOH, 6,400 people have been given the first dose of the vaccine so far.
