NEW: Weather Service Warns of "Localized Flash Flooding" in RI Friday Night

National Weather Service warns of risk of flooding
The National Weather Service is warning that there is a risk of flash flooding very late Friday night into Saturday.

According to the service, there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday night into Saturday morning that could bring up to one inch of rain.

They add that there is a 50% chance of rain on Saturday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern Connecticut, all of

Massachusetts east of Berkshire County, and Rhode Island.

There is a risk for localized flash flooding very late tonight into

Saturday as heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms develop. The

best chance will be west of the Boston to Providence Corridor, with a

primary focus across western Massachusetts and Connecticut.
