Plow Trucks Used by City of Providence Vandalized Over Weekend

According to police, officers responded to a report of larceny at 20 Ernest Street — the Providence Public Works Building — shortly before 11 AM on Sunday.

The city employee told police the vehicles were rentals used by Providence as plow trucks and were in a locked, fenced-in area over the weekend.
Upon inspection, a section of the fence was found to be reportedly pulled back.
Police noted that truck windows were broken and joysticks were stolen.
According to police, a dozen trucks were damaged.
Two of the vehicles had Rhode Island registrations; the rest were registered to Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maryland.
Police are currently investigating.
