About Incident

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, police responded to a report of a disturbance at Providence Place Mall.

Police said they met with mall security and then went to the third floor, where they observed Nike Air Force One sneakers and a bag with clothing items in the rear hallway.

In addition, police said they found a mini-crowbar.

Mall security said he had gone to the stores where the alarms went off — Hollister and PacSun — where he saw two suspects flee down an adjacent back staircase.

Security and detectives are currently investigating.
