Police Investigating Report of Stabbing on Federal Hill Following Super Bowl

Providence police are investigating a report of a stabbing in the city — following the Super Bowl game on Sunday. 

About Incident 

Shortly before 4 AM Monday morning, Providence police responded to Miriam Hospital for a report of a stab victim.

According to police, the male victim said he had gone on a date at the Twelve 21 Restaurant and Lounge on Atwells Avenue to watch the Super Bowl game.

The victim told police that when the couple left and walked toward their car near Bank of America, that he was stabbed by two individuals.

According to police, the victim had injuries to his hand and leg.

Detectives are currently investigating.
