Providence Firefighter Dies at 38

The Providence Fire Fighters IAFF Local 799 announced the death of one of their members on Tuesday. 

President Michael Foley shared the following message: 

We deeply regret to announce the untimely passing of our Brother Firefighter Steven Elliott at the age of 38.

Steve was a proud father of 2 and a dedicated member of Local 799. Steve served the City of Providence honorably for 11 years, and was most recently assigned to Engine 2 at the Branch Avenue station. 

Steve was loved by many and will be deeply missed. We extend our sincere condolences to his family and all who knew him during this incredibly difficult time.
