Providence Police Delay and Refuse to Release Full Report
GoLocal has repeatedly requested the formal report filed from the Providence Police Department’s Communication Office of the incident.
At first request, GoLocal was told that the Department could not identify any incident in its records.
Then, the Providence Police claimed there were no details, and only then did the Police provide a very abbreviated overview.
The abbreviated statement from the Providence Police states:
On Tuesday, December 16, officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving multiple individuals at 10 Memorial Blvd, The Capital Grill.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims, who provided descriptions of those involved.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident. At this time, no arrests have been made.
This statement is just a fraction of what is usually reported in such an incident.
The unwillingness to provide the report raises as many questions, as does the actual incident.
