RI Department of Corrections swears In 72 Correctional Officers
The Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RIDOC) graduated one of its largest classes in history, with 72 new Correctional Officers being sworn in.

The ceremony was held on Friday, June 15 at Rhode Island College.

Rhode Island Department of Corrections Acting Director Patricia A. Coyne-Fague administered the Oath of Office to the new Correctional Officers. 

The valedictorian speech was given by Correctional Officer Jamie R. Mauriello.

Officer Mauriello, originally from New Jersey, now lives in Coventry and graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Among the various honored attendees were retired RIDOC Director A.T. Wall, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police Colonel Ann Assumpico, Providence Police Department Colonel Hugh Clements and Major Oscar Perez, together with other distinguished members of the law enforcement and safety community.
