Senior Department of Defense, White House Officials to Join Defense Innovation Days in Newport

SENEDIA, the alliance for defense tech, talent, and innovation, will host its signature event, Defense Innovation Days, from August 29-31 in Newport. 

The national convening of defense industry innovators, key policymakers, and national security experts returns in person for the first time since 2019. 

The agenda features distinguished speakers including Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, Chief of Naval Research RADM Lorin Selby, Executive Assistant Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Eric Goldstein, and Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Senator Jack Reed (RI).

In addition to engaging conversations on national security priorities related to cybersecurity, climate resiliency, and undersea technology, Defense Innovation Days 2022 will feature a Department of Defense Summit on “Building the Shipbuilding Workforce to Meet National Security and Supply Chain Priorities.” 

The summit will include senior officials from the White House, Defense, Labor, and General Dynamics.
