Shekarchi’s Law Office Building in Warwick "Destroyed" in Fire

Rhode Island Speaker of the House Joseph Shekarchi’s law office in Warwick was heavily damaged by fire on Tuesday.

The law office was located at 33 College Hill Road. 

According to Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi, he was informed Tuesday night by what the Warwick Fire Chief said was a “bad fire” at the location.

Picozzi said the building was “completely destroyed.”

Shekarchi was unavailable for comment at time of publication.

He has first elected to the House in 2012 and was elected Speaker in 2021.
