Stylish Bank Robbery Suspect Hits Citizens Bank at Stop and Shop in Cranston

He is not your average bank robbery suspect. The individual identified by Cranston Police in Monday’s heist at the Citizens Bank branch located in the Stop and Shop at 204 Garfield Avenue was wearing a dark colored hat with a white facemask with dark spots, but that was just a portion of his ensemble.

He topped of his wardrobe with a dark suit jacket, a blue button-down shirt, and a plaid tie.

Colonel Michael J. Winquist, Chief of the Cranston Police Department, announced that members of the Cranston Police Criminal Investigation Unit and Bureau of Criminal Identification are investigating the bank robbery that occurred on Monday at approximately 10:31 AM.

According to police, the suspect passed a note and was able to leave the bank branch with an undisclosed amount of cash. He appeared to have left the scene in a black Hyundai or Nissan, 2 door vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.

This case is being investigated by the Cranston Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
