"Don't Make Me Kill You" - Suspect Threatens Cashier in Convenience Store Robbery in Providence

A robbery suspect reportedly threatened a cashier at a convenience store in Providence overnight.

Police responded to the Rusty Lantern Market on Pleasant Valley Parkway early Thursday morning for a report of a robbery.

The victim — a female cashier — told police a man had approached the register asking to purchase cigarettes.

She said the male suspect then demanded she open the register and said “Don’t make me kill you.”

The suspect took several hundred dollars from the register and fled.

Detectives are currently investigating.
