What Does Governor McKee’s Schedule Look Like?

Have you ever wondered what Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee does during the week?

Each day, the Governor’s office emails out the official public schedule for the next day.

GoLocal receives both McKee’s and Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey’s schedules, and the number of events differs.

Healey and her Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll’s schedule generally includes two to three events per day for each of them.

For McKee, most days have no public events.

Rhode Island's Lt. Governor Sabina Matos does not distribute her schedule to the media.

McKee’s schedule is, shall we say, a little less busy than his counterpart in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Below is McKee’s schedule for the past week. There were just three public events this week, which is typical.

According to his office, he is on vacation now for this weekend, the week of Thanksgiving, the following weekend, and will return the following Tuesday. 

“Today [Saturday], the Governor will travel out of state to spend time with his family. He will return to Rhode Island on December 3rd. During this time, the Governor will be in daily contact with his team and participating in virtual meetings,” announced his office on Saturday.
