McKee Funder is Tied to Hillary Clinton

Ralph Mollis criticized Dan McKee for taking money from Wal-Mart heiress Alice Walton. This might be a vulnerability for Catherine Taylor to exploit, except Walton is also a key funder and supporter of Hillary Clinton.

Mollis said, "Dan McKee had $90,000 funneled into his campaign for Lieutenant Governor through the 50 CAN Action Fund. The money came from an independent expenditure from Alice Walton, a Wal-Mart heiress whose net worth is estimated at $34.8 billion."

Walton has been a big funder of education reform - the 50 CAN Action Fund is funded by the Walton Foundation, Gates Foundation and receives major funding from both the Hassenfeld Foundation and Hasbro Children's Fund.

According to Darrell West's new book "Billionaires" he cites the role of Walton as an early supporter of Clinton's run for Presidency in 2016. "The Clinton super PAC also has received contributions from billionaire Alice Walton, one of the heirs to the Wal-Mart fortune, and Marc Benioff, the billionaire CEO of Salesforce, along with a number of wealthy individuals."
