Biden crushed Bernie Sanders in South Carolina -- winning nearly 50% of the vote.
Biden won 48.4% of the vote and Sanders, just 19.9%.

Sanders, however, continues to lead in the delegate count 60-54 over Biden.

Biden may owe the win to South Carolina Congressman Jim Clyburn — according to a CNN exit poll, 47% of respondents said that the Congressman’s endorsement of Biden was the main reason or part of their decision.
The win stops the momentum and winning streak of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.
South Carolinians assigned 54 delegates on Saturday.
It’s the largest delegate haul of any of the first four primary and caucus states to date.
There will be 1,357 delegates up for grabs on Super Tuesday.

Coming into South Carolina, Sanders led Biden 45 to 15 in the delegate count.
