Providence Police Have Suspect in Custody in Latest Homicide, Release Victim’s Name

Providence Police have announced they have a suspect in custody in the homicide in the city over the weekend.

Police said on Saturday that a man was found shot on Julian Street around 3 AM. 

He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Monday, police revealed that the victim was David Camacho. aged 32, of Providence.

The suspect in custody and being charged is Kenneth Hernandez, 32, of North Providence.

Hernandez will be in court on Monday afternoon.
