NEW: Raimondo Named One of Six Democratic Convention Co-Chairs

Raimondo has been named a Democratic Convention Co-Chair.
Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo has been named a co-chair of the 2016 Democratic Convention taking place this week in Philadelphia. 

The Democratic National Convention Committee announced on Monday who will be serving as officers for the convention. Raimondo is joined by U.S. Representative Maxine Waters, Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norm Mineta, U.S. Senator Gary Peters, and the Honorable Wellington Webb as Co-Chairs.

The revelation comes following DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman stepping down on Sunday following Wikileaks docs which showed that the DNC, which is supposed to be unbiased, was working to defeat Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary process.
