The Hill - DC newspaper says Kennedy won't endorse in 1st Congressional primary
According to Washington Insider newspaper The Hill, Congressman Patrick Kennedy will not endorse any of the democrats seeking the 1st Congressional seat, "Retiring Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) will remain neutral in the Democratic primary for his seat despite appeals for his backing from the two top Democrats in the race."
“I want to be able to be a uniter and join the Democratic forces at the end,” Kennedy said in an interview with The Hill.
Former Democratic Chairman Bill Lynch, sitting Providence Mayor David Cicilline, State Senator David Segal, and businessman Anthony Gemma will face off in a Democratic primary on Tuesday, September 14th.
