52 Second Half Points Power Rams Past Delaware St. 83-44

The University of Rhode Island men's basketball team (6-3) scored 52 second half points en route to an  83-44 win over (4-6) Delaware St. on Saturday afternoon at the Ryan Center.

Delaware led 10-9 early in the first half but then URI went on a 20-4 run and used their lock down defense the rest of the way to get back on the winning track after a tough loss to Providence earlier in the week.

E.C. Matthews led the Rams with 14 points in the game while Jarvis Garrett dished out six assists. Rhode Island dominated defensively, blocking a season high nine shots and holding Delaware State to a shooting percentage of 25 from the field. 

Kendall Williams led Delaware St. with ten points while Kendall Gray dished out nine assists in the loss. 

Next up, the Rams host Detroit on Saturday, December 20 at 4 p.m.
