A Patriots Pep Talk: Guest MINDSETTER™ Tom Kenney

Tom Kenney gives the Patriots a pep talk heading into Saturday's game.
Once again congratulations to Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the entire New England Patriots football team for winning the AFC East!

We, as New England Patriots fans, tend to take these things for granted year in and year out, but their dominance is truly an unprecedented accomplishment in the history of the NFL - especially in the days of free agency.

I hear the fair weather fans out there screaming that this year’s team is about to implode.

They seem to forget that they are 12-4 and not 4-12! If there’s anything I’ve learned about the New England Patriots football team over the course of the last 20 years or so it’s that you can never count them out.

As soon as the nay-sayers begin to chirp that Brady is all done or that Brady and Belichick hate each other or that the team’s winning ways have run their course they find a way to step it up and surprise the rest of the football world on their way to another championship!

Who knows whether this year will be another example of that or not? They can’t win every year.

Some people point to the three losses in their Super Bowl appearances as a sign of vulnerability, I look at them as another year that they fought their way to a championship game.

Unless a team doesn’t make the playoffs (a very, very rare occurrence for this team) their last game of the year will be either a Super Bowl championship or a loss.

If the 2019 New England Patriots fall short of a 7th Super Bowl title this playoff season, I’ll begin rallying around their moves during the offseason in an effort to improve next year.

I sincerely hope that Tom Brady doesn’t decide to walk away from the game and retire as the GOAT. We, as New England fans, need to be prepared for this eventuality.

He will retire someday. Belichick will walk away one day. But…until then I say, go Tom! And…in Belichick we trust!!

And this Saturday when he takes the field in the playoffs once again, appreciate watching the best QB of all time. We will never see his like again!!
